Tara and Vlad, a couple from San Francisco, were planning to get married in April 2023 and approached us seeking a wedding concept outside the traditional design, hoping for something 'with an electric and edgy style.'
Idea:
After setting the time zone, we hopped on a call to discuss mood boards, matching colors, and expectations together.
Since the wedding was slated for Napa Valley, California, we considered the vineyard landscape and sunny days as inspiration. Tara & Vlad's wedding logo adhered to the reference discussed during our meeting, and a new wedding symbol was born. Both were enthusiasts of cocktails, so we discovered that their capital letters could transform into two glasses toasting to life together.
The other event graphic pieces followed the same mood: a stylish funky font vs illustrated details. We were thrilled to find out that Vlad proposed to Tara after she finished running a marathon. Curious about the other stories these two had to share, we sent a survey full of questions a few days later to unveil the couple's stories and adventures. This resulted in 21 things they shared as a couple, from 'Favorite Dish' to 'Quirky Hobbies.' These were used as table indicators for the guests, matching with the flower ornaments.
Reflecting on the entire project, from concept to celebration, their wedding journey was an absolute joy and the couple felt the same.
" In planning our wedding, we were hoping to create an experience that felt unique and different from the many other weddings we attended that year. Maria Carlos and Maria Miguel were incredible creative partners in bringing our story to life on the day and injecting the color and joy we wanted to see on our wedding day.
