In 2014, fresh off a Miami move, Brittany found herself living a block away from recent college grad Evan in New York City. Fate (or maybe a swipe right) intervened, and their shared birthday sealed the deal. They explored the city together, their love growing with each adventure. Soon, they built a life in Lower Manhattan, their love story unfolding amongst the cityscapes. Holidays became cherished traditions, and wanderlust led them to explore the globe, each adventure strengthening their bond. Eventually, Brooklyn became home, with a furry friend named Monty joining the picture.

After setting the time zone, we hopped on a call to know their story, discuss printing logistics (between 3 countries) and inspiration!
The 2nd step of our design process always starts by getting to know the details of the couple. Through a fun and informative survey, we delve into their relationship journey, dream wedding vision, and any special details they want to incorporate.
Once we have a clear understanding of their story, we create a custom sketch, a color palette, selected the type font that captures the essence of the theme. This initial draft allows for collaboration and feedback, ensuring the final design perfectly reflects their desires.
Inspired by Brittany and Evan's passion for nature and the bustling energy of New York City, Bavaroise designed a wedding invitation that bridged the gap between urban and tropical. The invitations, a trifold with a waterfall reveal, showcased the illustrated couple in the beach alongside a "celebrating life" motto (and of course Monty - the dog). This clever design element also held details for the three-day wedding information (welcome party + rehearsal dinner + wedding day). We also wanted to highlight the lovely coincidence of both living next to each other before they even met on the sides and the possibility of opening the invitation either on the groom's or the bride's side.
And finally for the back we represented the Tribeca Synagogue as a symbol of their new beginning.

A Journey Reflected in Every Detail:
The entire wedding suite carried the same aesthetic, with a focus on flora and fauna. Custom elements like a name logotype, welcome kit, menus, dance floor, and a website all flowed seamlessly from the initial invitation concept.
The table names, a set of postcards titled "A Long Walk Side by Side," became a mini-love story in themselves. They showcased 14 of Brittany and Evan's shared adventures, from stand-up paddle boarding to the thrill of Zorbing in New Zealand.
Reflecting on the project, the Bavaroise team found immense satisfaction in crafting a wedding experience that felt truly personal. The bride and groom's glowing testimonial echoed this sentiment, highlighting the creativity, joy, and thoroughness that went into every aspect of their wedding journey.

"We had the pleasure to work with Bavaroise on our wedding invitation, seating chart, menus and all other paper goods for our wedding. We randomly saw Bavaroise’s amazing work online and reached out hoping we may be able to work with their team! They were quick to respond and eager to help us out. Their process is unique and thorough. They originally asked us for an overview of our relationship, engagement, and what the wedding was going to look like. From there, they crafted a one-of-a-kind invitation that blew all of our guests away. The design process was fun and interactive with the Bavaroise team. They bring joy in all of the work they do and it shows. Every meeting was fun and productive. I would recommend them to anyone looking for thoughtful, serious (but also playful), and thorough graphics. I hope to work with them again soon!"
